Moto 2, Guest coach CSS India
Joe grew up in the city of Los Angeles, California. His father bought him a 50cc dirt bike shortly before his fourth birthday. Living in the city, he started out practicing his skills at home in the garden and in the Hollywood Hills nearby. His first competition was flat track (American dirt oval) on the 50cc. He then transitioned to Supermoto, which is mixed dirt and paved surfaces on 65cc motorcycles. His next progession was mini road racing aboard scaled down road racing bikes on outdoor karting tracks. At age 11, he ventured on to full sized tracks on a Honda RS125. He competed nationally with the USGPRU (United States Grand Prix Racers Union) for 2 years, finishing 5th and then 3rd in the 125GP class before being selected for the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup for the 2011 season. The Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup is a series designing to discover future Grand Prix racing talent and runs at Grand Prix events. He scored a win in his first year at the Brno Grand Prix. He was invited back for the 2012 season, where he led races and scored podiums. He is the current lap record holder at Brno. Joe has been invited for a 3rd year in the Rookies Cup, which is a rare honor.
Joe has been coached by Keith Code and the California Superbike school since 2008. Joe is as comfortable riding large bikes as small ones. In November, he rode one of the California Superbike School's BMW S1000s to 5 race victories in a local race in California.
